Christopher is a core surgical trainee in the United Kingdom. After qualifying in 2011 from Newcastle University medical school (M.B., B.S.), he completed his Foundation training at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. During medical school, he also undertook two years of intercalated studies, graduating in 2009 with a Master of Research (M.Res.) degree in Medical and Molecular Biosciences (Distinction), and in 2006 from the University of Durham, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. Hons.) in Molecular Medicine.
Christopher has an interest in medical education and research and has worked as an anatomy demonstrator at Newcastle medical school, teaching both medical and dental students.
